Jennifer also scored four goals on the season including two game winners. One of the highlights of her junior season was when she scored two goals and recorded two assists in the game against Syracuse on Sept. 2, where the Tigers won 4-0. At the end of the year she received NorPac all conference honors for her impressive season.<b>2004 (Sophomore):</b>One of the best stories for Pacific in 2004, Chaney capped a great sophomore season by earning Pacific's most improved player award. Jen appeared in all 21 games in 2004, including 11 starts. She scored three goals on 19 shots, but she made the most of those three goals, scoring the game-winner for Pacific on Oct. 23 in the Tigers' 2-1 over Stanford. Chaney matched the feat in the semi-final game of the NorPac Tournament as she once again lifted Pacific to a 2-1 win over Stanford, this time in double overtime. Chaney's final goal of the season gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead against No. 5 Michigan in the NCAA First Round, but the Tigers fell 2-1 in overtime to the Wolverines.<b>2003 (Freshman):</b>Jen appeared in four of Pacific's 16 games as a freshman. In her first season, Chaney provided depth for the Tigers, while gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level.<b>High School:</b>Chaney graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell, Calif. As a Warrior, Jen collected nine letters in field hockey (two), basketball (three) and track (four). As a senior she was the team MVP in field hockey and the MVP of the Blossom Valley Athletic Association (BVAA). She notched 10 goals in 2002 and was named team captain prior to the season. In addition she was twice named to the All-BVAA First Team.<b>Personal:</b>Jennifer Chaney is the daughter of Byron Chaney and Linda Fairfield. She has three siblings, Jonathan (18), Chris (17) and Alison (15). In her fourth year at Pacific, Jen is a sport sciences major.<b>MacDonald on Chaney:</b>"With her speed and quickness, not many defenders are going to catch her once she gets by. She has also become more aggressive in the circle which should lead to more scoring."
